IDEA MENA is the world leader of debate education. We give educational debate training cycles and provide authoritative teaching tools and an online debate platform, which is home to the top 100 debates written by experienced debaters from around the world, attracting over 2.5 million visitors annually.
With the New Year coming closer, we decided to take up the new challenge of enlarging our training scope. With this objective in mind, our team of master trainers worked on developing a complete and elaborate soft skills curriculum, ranging from Public Speaking Skills to Project Management.
As a first initiative, we have established a partnership with Go My Code, the first coding school in Tunisia. Go My Code has launched a three-month program called 1000Coders, which is a program of 1000 scholarships in Go My Code's Full Time Coding program aimed at young graduates of higher education and professionals who want to start a career as:
- Fullstack web developer
- Fullstack freelance web developer
- Founder of a tech start up
The aim of the program is to help unemployed young people redirect their academic background and professionals shift their career towards coding. The final objective is that these new coders find jobs after the end of the 3-month course.
As the technical partner for 1000Coders, our mission was to ensure that all participants enhance their soft skills in order to increase their chances in being hired and afterwards, to fit in better in the professional environment and workplace.
During two full days, IDEA MENA trainers: Houcem Mhadheb and Mohamed Khalil Bejaoui, presented the following sessions as an initiation to Soft Skills:
- How to prepare a CV and Cover letter?
- How to succeed a job interview?
- Team management
- Public Speaking
- Process Improvement
- Time management
- Pitch and Q&A
This successful initiative paves the way for IDEA MENA’s vision to become the world leader in Soft Skills education.
